ComserX Terms & Conditions

1. Platform Nature & Role (Marketplace Disclaimer)

ComserX is an online marketplace platform that connects independent sellers with buyers.

ComserX does NOT:

• • Sell, buy, own, or store products
• • Handle deliveries, shipping, or logistics
• • Act as a payment intermediary between buyers and sellers
• • Guarantee product quality, safety, legality, or availability
• • Mediate or resolve buyer–seller disputes

2. Eligibility & Jurisdiction

• • Users must be 18 years or older
• • The platform is intended for users in Sri Lanka
• • All prices, subscriptions, and payments are in Sri Lankan Rupees (LKR)

3. User Accounts & Registration

Users may register using Google OAuth or Email and password.

Users agree to:

• • Provide accurate and truthful information
• • Maintain the confidentiality of login credentials
• • Not share their account credentials with others
• • Accept responsibility for all activity under their account

4. Seller Accounts (Tenants)

Sellers may create one store (tenant) per account.

Each seller is solely responsible for:

• • Product descriptions, pricing, and availability
• • Product legality under Sri Lankan law
• • Communication with buyers
• • Delivery, refunds, warranties, and after-sales service

ComserX does not verify product quality or authenticity.

5. Platform Access, Fees & Limitations

ComserX is currently provided as a free platform. There are no subscription fees, hidden charges, or payment processing requirements to access seller features.

Free Access with Limitations:

• • Most core platform features are available to registered users at no cost.
• • Some features, such as listing counts, image uploads, or store visibility, may be subject to fair-use limitations or capacity-based restrictions.
• • No credit card or payment information is required to use any part of the platform.
• • ComserX reserves the right to introduce premium features or subscription tiers in the future, which would be subject to updated terms.

6. Buyer Responsibilities

Buyers agree to:

• • Provide accurate contact information
• • Verify seller details independently before making payments
• • Communicate through platform tools when possible
• • Avoid advance payments without sufficient trust

ComserX strongly recommends safe, transparent transaction practices.

7. Prohibited Activities

Users must NOT:

• • List illegal items under Sri Lankan law
• • Engage in fraud, scams, or misleading practices
• • Use false identities or misleading information
• • Harass or abuse other users
• • Attempt to bypass platform safeguards
• • Post deceptive links or redirect users for off-platform scams

Violations may result in suspension or permanent removal.

8. Content & User Responsibility

• • Sellers are responsible for all content they upload
• • ComserX may review, restrict, or remove content that violates policies
• • ComserX does not guarantee the accuracy of user-generated content

9. Intellectual Property

• • Sellers retain ownership of their content
• • By uploading content, sellers grant ComserX a non-exclusive license to display it on the platform
• • Users may not reuse or redistribute content without permission

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ComserX is not liable for:

• • Product quality or authenticity
• • Buyer–seller disputes
• • Payment losses
• • Delivery failures
• • Third-party links or services
• • Service interruptions or data loss

11. Account Suspension & Termination

ComserX may suspend or terminate accounts for:

• • Violating these Terms
• • Submitting false or misleading information
• • Repeated user complaints
• • Illegal or harmful activities

Upon termination, associated content and stores may be removed.

12. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Sri Lanka.

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. Your continued use of the platform after updates are posted constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
